My client is seeking a Family Solicitor to join their law firm in Luton, Bedfordshire. Hybrid working is available. They are a leading regional multi-services law firm offering legal advice to both individuals and businesses. Key Responsibilities • Manage a caseload of public family law matters, with a particular focus on care proceedings, child protection cases and representation of parents, children or guardians. • Provide clear, robust legal advice and representation to clients, often in highly sensitive and emotionally charged situations. • Undertake advocacy at court hearings where appropriate, and liaise effectively with counsel in more complex cases. • Draft and review applications, statements and other legal documentation relating to care proceedings. • Work closely with Local Authorities, guardians, social workers and other professionals involved in child protection proceedings. • Ensure compliance with all procedural requirements and court directions. • Maintain accurate file management and meet key deadlines. • Build and sustain strong relationships with clients and external agencies, demonstrating professionalism and empathy at all times. Requirements • A minimum of 3 years PQE in Public Family Law. • Experience in representing parents, children or guardians in care proceedings. • Strong advocacy skills and confidence in dealing with a wide range of hearings. • Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills. • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise effectively and manage a busy caseload. • A commitment to client care, with sensitivity to the challenges of public family law. • Knowledge of Legal Aid procedures and requirements. • Proven ability to meet financial targets while maintaining high standards of service.
