Social Work Practice Manager – Family Help Team
Salary: £56,607 to £62,739 per annum

Exciting new opportunity to join the Family Help Team as a dedicated and experienced Practice Manager. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality, family-centred services, ensuring the team provides effective early intervention and prevention support to children and families. As a Practice Manager, you will be responsible for driving performance, developing staff, and embedding best practices to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide leadership, supervision, and management to the Family Help Team, ensuring high standards of practice and service delivery.
* Oversee assessment, planning, and intervention processes, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and organisational policies.
* Support and mentor social workers and family practitioners to develop their skills and achieve their professional development goals.
* Monitor and manage team performance, ensuring the delivery of timely and effective interventions that promote the welfare and safety of children.
* Use data and quality assurance frameworks to evaluate and improve service effectiveness, addressing any performance issues promptly.
* Foster strong working relationships with multi-agency partners to deliver coordinated support for families.
* Promote a culture of reflective practice, learning, and continuous improvement within the team.
* Manage team resources effectively, ensuring workloads are distributed appropriately and in line with service priorities.
* Represent the team in multi-agency forums, case reviews, and strategic meetings as required.
* Stay abreast of changes in legislation, policy, and practice to ensure the team remains compliant and effective.

What We’re Looking For:
* Social Work England registered
* Proven experience in managing or supervising a team within children’s social care, ideally within an early intervention or family support setting.
* Strong knowledge of UK legislation, policies, and safeguarding frameworks relevant to children and families.
* Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
* Experience in quality assurance, performance management, and service improvement.
* Skilled in building effective relationships with children, families, and multi-agency partners.
* Strong analytical, decision-making, and organisational abilities.
