About Us
We are a retail footwear retailer located in town centres, retail parks, and online, offering low-price, high-quality footwear for the whole family, with free next-day delivery on all orders, seven days a week. We operate from 280 stores and have approximately 2,200 employees across the UK.
Our store portfolio includes 91 town centre stores stocking our core product range, 144 hybrid town centre stores, and 43 larger retail park stores that also stock brands such as Skechers, Hush Puppies, and Kickers.
Our online platform, shoezone.com, stocks exclusive footwear and, combined with our store network and marketplaces, provides a comprehensive multi-channel customer experience.
Annually, we sell approximately 14.5 million pairs of shoes at an average retail price of £13.
The Store Manager Role
As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation of your store. You will be a hands-on leader who guides from the front, often working in a challenging and demanding environment. Your focus will be on maximising sales through local knowledge, exceeding budget targets, controlling costs efficiently, providing excellent customer service, and leading, motivating, developing, and inspiring your team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Achieve optimal sales through commercial awareness and ensuring excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
* Support, develop, and mentor your team to maintain high store standards and deliver the best customer experience to encourage repeat business.
* Take ownership of the store by maintaining high standards of merchandising and housekeeping according to marketing guidelines.
* Ensure a safe environment for staff and customers by implementing current health and safety policies.
