Management Accountant
Annual Salary: Up to £35,000 Per Annum
Location: In person
Job Type: Temporary (12-month maternity cover)08:00-16:30 (Mon-Thu)08:00-15:30 (Fri)With 1 hour lunch break
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Management Accountant to join our finance team for a 12-month maternity cover. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in financial accounting and familiarity with various accounting software platforms. The Management Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the organisation's financial health and compliance with relevant regulations.
Day-to-day of the role:
Oversee the daily operations of the accounts department.
Report directly to the Managing Director and Finance Director.
Prepare, analyse, and report financial information to senior management, including:
Monthly accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Fixed Asset Register)
Budgets
Forecasts
Variance analysis
Monthly board reports
Authorise payment runs and prepare detailed reports.
Ensure timely completion and submission of VAT returns.
Conduct cash flow forecasts and support decision-making processes.
Collate monthly payroll information for the payroll team.
Participate in audits and cover Sales & Purchase Ledger as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong accounting experience or minimum AAT qualification.
Exceptional attention to detail and high accuracy.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
Proficient in Excel.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Organised and capable of meeting strict deadlines.
