Assistant Support Worker - Westcroft (£24,570)
Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? We currently have an opportunity for a full time (37.5 hours per week) Assistant Support Worker to join our dedicated team at Westcroft, in Tring. Westcroft is a supported living service for individuals with learning disabilities across three main buildings and several community-based homes.

What You will Do:
As an Assistant Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping individuals live as independently as possible. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Aid with the daily administration of medication
Providing personal carewith sensitivity and respect
Encouraging life skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, and budgeting
Organising trips to local amenities
Promoting independence and helping residents achieve their personal goals
Following tailored support plans and risk assessments to ensure safety and wellbeingAs an Assistant Support Worker you will;
Provide appropriate support to service users who are living in their own homes or in a supported housing setting to enable them to support their aspirations and maximise their independence.
Promote life skills such as shopping, managing budgets and supporting with domestic tasks such as cooking and cleaning.
Build long lasting support relationships with people who will benefit from you "being the difference".
Follow agreed support plans and risk assessments to ensure that we are providing a service that meets each individual’s needs.
Be flexible and reliable, able to work shifts including weekends and bank holidaysIt is essential that you have a Full UK Driving Licence, access to a car, and are happy to do sleep-ins (minimum one per week).
