A Snapshot of Your DayWe are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of CNC machine tools to produce precision-engineered components. Working closely with production and engineering teams, you will ensure all parts meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.How You'll Make an Impact
1. Set up and operate CNC machinery, following established procedures and engineering drawings.
2. Read and interpret technical drawings, layouts, and specifications to determine required machining operations.
3. Measure and inspect completed parts to ensure they meet design and quality standards.
4. Perform routine maintenance on machinery and tools to ensure safe, efficient operation.
5. Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to solve machining issues and support continuous improvement.
6. Maintain accurate documentation of production data, including measurements, quantities, and any non-conformances.
7. Keep your work area clean, safe, and organised in line with company health and safety procedures.
What you Bring
8. Ideally, you’ll have completed a full Level 3 apprenticeship (including both NVQ and Technical Certificate); however, equivalent qualifications or substantial relevant experience may also be considered.
9. Confirmed experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
10. Ability to expertly use machine tools such as lathes, horizontal borers, and grinders.
11. Strong understanding of engineering drawings and machining specifications.
12. High attention to detail with strong measurement and inspection skills.
13. Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
14. Competent IT skills for logging and reporting production data.
15. A proactive and safety-conscious mindset with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
