As a Shift Manager you will manage, lead and coordinate the warehouse day shift. Coordinating daily warehousing activities and employees, ensuring targets are achieved and customer requirements are met. Implement production, productivity, quality and customer service standards and achieve the appropriate level of volume within time limits. Ensure that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations.

Responsibilities
* Manage and guide the Shift Leaders to achieve the warehouse targets and KPIs set in a safe and efficient manner, contributing to an atmosphere where employees are encouraged to volunteer ideas and engaged as a team
* Achievehigh levelsof customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, dispatching, and assuring quality goods – promoting SAP system processes and handling colleague non- compliance appropriately
* Determinethappropriate staffinglevels based on planned workload and assign resources appropriately– supporting investigations, disciplinaries and absence & attendance meets as required
* To utilise employee productivity and performance data to review performance, accordingly,identifyingopportunities for reward and recognition for high performers to the Warehouse Manager
* Maintain stock integrity through goods in checking, goods out checking and a scheduled perpetual inventory program
* Maintainall record keeping and document necessary information for a clear handover to the management on the following shift
* Pro-activelyidentifyimprovement opportunities liaising with H&S, Quality & ESG, Continuous Improvement and Warehouse Management
* Deal with any discrepancies found, ensure corrective action is taken and if necessary, reportimmediatelyto the Warehouse Manager
* To be aware of and adhere to the Company’s Health & Safety Policy, taking responsibility for the Health, Safety, environmental and welfare of yourself and others in your departments
Qualifications
* Experience in leading a team in a warehousing/logisticsenvironment at a supervisory or shift manager level
* Able to motivate and engage a team, develop andmaintaina culture of employeeinvolvement and provide coaching whererequired
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, timemanagementand organisational skills allowing you to direct and coordinate operations
* The ability to engage cross functionally (e.g. with GHT/Transport/Customer Services) to ensure all relevant parties are involved and kept updated and handovers are correctly done
* Knowledge and experience of health and safety principles, preferably IOSH standard
* Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Officeand WMS (SAP,Microlise, Contrado, Capture IT would be advantageous)
