Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Property Legal Assistant to support our legal team with residential and commercial property matters. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of conveyancing and property law processes. This role requires the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist solicitors and conveyancers in managing residential and/or commercial property transactions from instruction through to completion.
* Perform Land Registry applications and manage post-completion tasks such as SDLT/LTT submissions and Land Registrations.
Qualifications & Skills
* Strong understanding of property transaction processes and legal terminology.
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
* High attention to detail and strong document management skills.
* Confident written and verbal communication.
* Proficiency in legal case management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with the legal team.
* A client-focused, professional, and proactive attitude.
Preferred (but not required)
* Experience with Land Registry portals or conveyancing software in particular the use of LEAP case management software.
* Previous experience as a legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal—preferably within property or conveyancing.
Working Conditions
* Full-time position, Monday–Friday.
* Office-based.
