Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available The role In conjunction with the Head of Project Development and Delivery, the Head of will support SSE Distributed Energy in achieving the overall business plan to grow and develop the business. The Head of will own the strategy and vision for each of the key areas, ensuring the successful development and delivery of the key objectives relevant to each area. You Will Ensure successful delivery of both a pipeline of projects and project execution, this role will deliver construction profit on a monthly basis. Responsible for managing and delivering annual budgets, including budget setting, monthly forecasting, and month-end reporting. Responsible for ensuring that project performance is being managed across the portfolio and that it is being accurately reported on. Full accountability for ensuring that annual revenue and profit targets are met. Responsible for identifying new opportunities or market strategies, engaging the wider teams to identify and mitigate any potential risks that these may pose. Ideally you will have: Experience in a senior leadership role in the development and delivery of complex projects in the energy industry. Degree Qualified, or relevant industry experience. A strong understanding of SHEW construction requirements/legislation such as CDM. High level of financial literacy, with experience of P&L management, budget setting and forecasting. Demonstrable experience of working under commercial contract frameworks such as NEC3. A track record of delivering supply chain value through framework exercises and single action tenders. Experience of line management as a senior leader. Experience of working and managing teams & stakeholders within a functional business structure. Strong knowledge of and commitment to SSE’s overall aims and objectives. Knowledge of all relevant SSE and industry related processes and procedures.
