Are you an aspiring teacher, sports science graduate, or looking for work during your gap year? This independent boarding school in Suffolk is looking for a Sports & Boarding Assistant and spend six months coaching sport, supporting young people, and becoming part of a vibrant boarding community. What does the role involve? Get involved in all aspects of school sport: support PE lessons, help run a packed extra-curricular programme, coach major sports, and take part in fixtures, tournaments and whole-school events. Assist with trips, equipment and the smooth running of the department while working alongside experienced staff. In boarding, you’ll be a positive, friendly presence in students’ daily routines: supervising meals and study time, leading fun evening activities, supporting pastoral wellbeing, and helping with wake-ups, bedtimes and occasional overnight duty. Assist with medical appointments, travel arrangements, and be on-call at agreed times, with opportunities to support summer camps for extra pay.
