About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils across KS1 and KS2 with SEMH and ASD needs.
2. Support learning and behaviour under the guidance of the Class Teacher.
3. Implement positive behaviour management strategies to support emotional regulation and engagement.
4. Help pupils achieve their academic, social, and personal development targets.
5. Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
Person Specification:
The successful candidate will have:
6. At least one year’s experience working with children (ideally within an educational setting).
7. A genuine interest in supporting children with SEMH and ASD needs.
8. Good literacy and numeracy skills.
9. A strong understanding of behaviour management strategies.
10. An NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) – desirable but not essential.

Vetting Requirements:
All applicants must be willing to complete:
22. An Enhanced DBS (or be registered on the Update Service).
23. Two professional references covering the last 24 months.
24. An overseas police check (if applicable).
