Job Title: Payroll AdministratorLocation: South Ayrshire (Fully Office Based)Contract: Temporary (with potential to become permanent)Salary: Dependent on ExperienceOverview: We are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join a busy and fast-paced team based in South Ayrshire. This is a temporary opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The role will involve supporting the end-to-end payroll function for a large workforce, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.Key Responsibilities:
* Process end-to-end payroll for a high-volume workforce, ensuring all deadlines are met
* Accurately calculate and process SSP, SMP, PAYE, and other statutory payments
* Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
* Handle payroll queries from employees and resolve issues in a timely manner
* Support with payroll reporting and reconciliations
* Ensure compliance with current payroll legislation and internal procedures
* Work collaboratively with HR and finance teams to ensure smooth payroll operation
Key Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 years’ payroll experience
* Strong end-to-end payroll knowledge, including SSP, SMP, PAYE and statutory calculations
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment, ideally supporting a workforce of 1,000+ employees
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively within a busy and diverse team
* Confident working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
