Procurement Assistant Manager
Location: Hybrid / Anywhere Worker / 1 day a week in Chelmsford.
Salary: 35k - 43k

We’re looking for a Procurement Assistant Manager to lead high-value sourcing projects (up to £25m), create innovative category strategies, and manage strategic contracts worth up to £50m. This is your chance to work on complex, high-profile deals, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver real value for money.
The role
You’ll be at the heart of driving procurement excellence — leading multi-disciplinary teams, shaping market capability, and managing tier 1 and 2 suppliers. From long-term strategy to hands-on negotiation, you’ll have the opportunity to innovate, solve complex challenges, and influence decision-making at the highest level.

What we’re looking for:
* Degree-level education and MCIPS (or working towards)
* Proven experience in strategic category management and contract negotiation
* Strong knowledge of public sector procurement law
* Exceptional influencing and relationship-building skills
