The school is seeking TWO Teaching Assistants to start on 1st of September 2026.
Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Helyg opened its doors to staff, pupils and parents on 3 September 2010. The school is located on an industrial estate between Nant-y-glo and Blaenau.
Ysgol Gymraeg Tredegar opened in November 2025 as a new seedling school linked to Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Helyg. The school is located on Chartists’ Road, Tredegar.
Ysgol Gymraeg Tredegar provides Welsh-medium education for pupils from Nursery to Year 2 in the west of Blaenau Gwent. Located on Chartist Road, the brand-new school will grow annually until it reaches its full capacity of 210 children.
The school is friendly and family-oriented, with a dedicated staff who create a positive and caring ethos.
The Headteacher and Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic and committed practitioner to join the team at Ysgol Gymraeg Tredegar as it continues to grow.
During the recruitment process, thorough pre-employment screening will be undertaken. The successful candidate will be required to complete a DBS application.
This post requires a registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) under the category of Learning Support Assistant and registration will need to be in place prior to commencement in the role.
