A fantastic opportunity for a CAD Designer to join a well-established bespoke furniture maker based in Newcastle under Lyme based in a bright, airy and modern workshop facility. Job Description: As the CAD Designer, you will work closely with Project Leaders and interior design clients. You will be responsible for taking client-approved concept drawings & producing detailed production drawings for the workshop. Producing workshop drawings for manufacture, you will also be responsible for producing technical drawings for our CNC As the CAD Designer, you will be responsible for producing detailed drawings for bespoke furniture predominantly within the super prime market On occasion, you will be travelling across the country to meet with high-end clients, who have a large client base within London As the CAD Designer, you will be working in a busy and fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and working to tight deadlines For the CAD Designer role, it would be good to see candidates with: Knowledge and experience using SolidWorks is essential Experience with SWOOD CAM would be advantageous Experience with PDM would be advantageous Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD is essential Previous experience within the furniture/joinery design, cabinet making, staircase design, wooden playground equipment or a similar industry is essential Knowledge of furniture and joinery construction methods Ability to keep and maintain good quality records and follow procedures Excellent teamwork and communication skills, as you will be the main liaison between the Design team and the Operations team and will need to be highly organised Positive attitude to problem-solving and continuous improvement This role is commutable from: Crewe, Newcastle under Lyme, Stafford, Stone, Nantwich, Market Drayton, Eccleshall, Stoke on Trent, Congleton, Keele and surrounding areas The role would suit candidates with the following experience: Furniture design, staircase design, CAD Designer, Cabinet designer, kitchen designer Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm - Friday 8:00 am – 1:00 pm Salary: £40,000 Per Annum Brampton Recruitment is an independent Commercial and Accounts & Finance recruitment agency working in partnership with employers spanning Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, Cheshire, and the Greater Manchester region
