What you’ll do
* Observe and note the behaviours and general profile of visitors as they explore the site
* Approach visitors in a friendly, engaging, and welcoming manner
* Invite visitors to take part in a short survey, clearly explaining its purpose
* Follow guidance on health, safety, and data privacy
* Report any issues or feedback to your designated contact at Canal & River Trust
What we’re looking for
* Friendly, welcoming people that are happy to approach members of the public
* People who can commit to a minimum of a couple of hours a week

Why we want you
Our Supporter volunteers ensure that the day to day nuts and bolts of the waterways happen be that monitoring activities on the towpath or that the running of teams and the necessary processes happen in the background. This can be anything from working with our Social Media Team to assisting with location and filming for productions. Our Supporting Volunteers also support our teams within our offices and even on the Towpath conducting audits.
What you will be doing
* Supporting with administration
* Supporting with data collection
* Creating content on social media
* Taking photos for promotion and celebration
* This role can potentially be done from home.
* When you register as a volunteer, we will ask you about any unspent convictions which you need to declare and risk assess these as needs be.
The skills you need
* Reliable
* Organised
* Whilst not essential, many of the activities in this roles use either computer or mobile devices.
