Position
Recruitment of Nursing Assistants – Immunisations within the Immunisation team in the Children & Families Health Team at Ayrshire Central Hospital.
Contract and Hours
Fixed term contract from Monday 14th September 2026 until Friday 27th November 2026. Minimum 20 hours – maximum 27.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday 0900‑1300 or 0900‑1500, depending on school size. Annual leave: week 12th‑16th October.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the School Immunisation team you will assist with setting up equipment before sessions, support children before and after vaccination, monitor stock of equipment bags at the end, and support the delivery of the Flu Immunisation Programme in Primary Schools across the three localities in Ayrshire under the direct supervision of Band 5 staff immunisation nurses.
Key Requirements
* Ability to work with people and as part of a team.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively within educational establishments.
* Previous community experience.
UK Driving Licence
A UK driving licence is essential for this role.
