This opportunity comes at an exciting time in the development period of the company, as they continue to expand their customer portfolio, partnering with SMEs across a range of industries along the South Coast and successfully delivering cohesive and full support within the accounting function.Your Role and Responsibilities:While in this position your duties may include but will not be limited to:
* Preparing, sending and submitting accounts & tax returns for a range of customers, managing a diverse workload
* Liaising between clients and HMRC to resolve outstanding queries, providing a proactive and solution-based service
* Onboarding new clients accurately, including portfolio integration, before transitioning to relevant department
* Conducting bookkeeping & completing VAT Returns, ensuring internal and statutory deadlines are met
* Ensuring that all books and records are kept and maintained in a professional and accessible manner, compliant with regulations
* Being involved with and occasionally leading client meetings at year end,
* Attending networking opportunities and events to help grow the company's presence and customer base
* Ensuring that HMRC/Companies House statutory information is kept up to date and accurate
What you will need to Apply:For this position, applicants will need to possess extensive prior experience within a similar accounting role, with sound knowledge of accounts preparation & tax returns, as well as understanding accountancy software such as Xero or QuickBooks. The company expects candidates to be fully, or at least mostly, qualified ACCA or ACA accountants, with a minimum of 2 years previous experience gained specifically within an Accountancy Practice environment. You should have strong communication skills, be able to manage diverse and large workloads and be able to prioritise your time effectively. What you will get in Return:For the successful candidate within this position, the business are willing to offer a potential starting salary up to £42,000, which will of course be highly dependent on the level of previous relevant experience, academic qualifications and accountancy knowledge.
