Venture Life Group (VLG) is a dynamic and innovative, global consumer healthcare company specialising in self‑care and preventative health products. Role Overview
As Brand Manager, you will lead and manage all marketing activities for the Balance Activ (female health) and Earol (ear care) brands. Reporting to the Director of Brands, you’ll work collaboratively with our in‑house specialists and external partners – including a Media Buying Agency, Digital Designer, Digital Marketing Team, HCP marketing, Innovation Team, Sales Team and PR agency – to ensure that all ATL, paid and organic channels are aligned and creating synergy.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute brand strategy: positioning, and annual brand plans aligned to business objectives to ensure our key messages, mission, and tone of voice are effectively communicated to our audience.
* Trade Marketing: Support commercial team by building brand trade presentations; using shopper insights to optimise brand distribution, POS marketing activities and retail relationships.
* Integrated Campaign Execution: Work with internal and external partners (creative, digital, PR) and oversee integrated campaign execution.
* Product Extension: Work closely with the Innovation team to find opportunities for new product extensions to support breakthrough innovation.
* Product Launches: Work closely with the Commercial and Innovation teams to plan and execute engaging product launches and campaigns across UK and other markets. Drive buzz and awareness for new products or services, ensuring launch plans are creative and effectively communicated to both consumers and retail partners.
* Budget Management: Manage the brand marketing budget. Plan and allocate resources efficiently across campaigns and channels, matching objectives with appropriate spend to meet targets. Track and report on budget usage to ensure ROI is maximised and financial objectives are met.
* Analytics & Optimisation: Track brand performance (sales, share, equity, ROI) and optimise based on insight and data.
* Insight‑Driven Strategy: Work closely with our research team and Category & Insights Manager to extrapolate trends, consumer insights and competitor activities to adjust strategies, and identify new opportunities that will keep the brands ahead of the curve.
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven Growth Track Record: A proven record of achieving high levels of brand growth and consumer engagement for a medical device health brand. You have driven successful campaigns that resulted in brand growth across omni‑channels.
* Digital Marketing: Experience in using Digital Marketing to drive brand growth – you know how to work with Digital Marketing specialists to build customer journeys and leverage data to increase engagement.
* Strong Communicator & Collaborator: Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal. You excel at building relationships and can work effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners. You are adept at briefing internal partners and agencies, aligning cross‑functional teams, and conveying clear strategic direction.
* Analytical & Data‑Driven: An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights. You are comfortable using analytics tools to track performance (e.g. EPOS, Google Analytics, Nielsen, continuous brand tracking data) and can adjust tactics based on what the data shows to optimise results.
* Self‑Starter with Creativity: A self‑motivated individual who can thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast‑paced environment. You take initiative, think creatively to solve problems, and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves to get things done. You bring a can‑do attitude and can make decisions even with limited information, while keeping projects moving forward.
* Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail in planning, executing, and reviewing marketing activities. You ensure consistency in brand messaging and quality across all materials and channels.
* Medical Device Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of medical device and cosmetic regulations and evidence‑based claims, with the ability to translate regulatory and scientific requirements into clear, compliant brand messaging across all consumer touchpoints.
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field is preferred (or equivalent work experience). Professional marketing qualifications (e.g. CIM certification) are a plus, but not mandatory.
