Class 1 Driver Opportunity Summer Peak Contract ?? Location: Biggleswade, Bedfordshire?? Contract Length: 28th June 12th September??? Working Pattern: Wednesday to Saturday? Optional extra shifts available on Sundays or Mondays during peak periods? Start Times: Between 04:00 and 06:00?? Minimum 8 hours guaranteed per shiftExcellent Pay Rates
o Weekdays (03:00 19:00): £19.06 per hour
o Saturday (03:00 19:00): £21.95 per hour
Join a Professional Driving Team This Summer Were looking for experienced and reliable Class 1 Drivers to support a major summer operation delivering to Co-op stores from Biggleswade. This is a fantastic opportunity for drivers seeking consistent work, excellent rates, and the chance to work with a modern, well-maintained fleet during a busy peak season. o Deliver chilled, frozen, and ambient products to local Co-op stores
o Complete 36 drops per shift depending on route
o Carry out vehicle checks and defect reporting
o Ensure temperature and load security procedures are followed
o Return to depot for reloads when required
o Maintain compliance with tachograph and Drivers Hours regulations
o Operate both Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles where needed
What We Need From You Essential
o Minimum 12 months UK Class 1 driving experience
o Valid UK Category C+E licence
o Driver CPC qualification card
o Digital Tachograph card
Ideal Driver Qualities
o Confident reversing and manoeuvring skills
o Comfortable with urban and roadside deliveries
o Flexible attitude and team-focused approach
o Professional, safety-conscious mindset
Licence Criteria
o Up to 6 minor penalty points accepted
o No DR, DD, CD, or IN endorsements
