About Citizens Advice
Citizens Advice offers confidential advice online, over the phone and in person, for free. Through our national network of charities, we give people the knowledge and the confidence they need to find their way forward – whoever they are, and whatever their problem.
The Role
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join the Consumer Service Codes Project for 12 months. The Codes project is an initiative to improve the way we share data with the consumer protection landscape. In this role you will support a comprehensive needs analysis by synthesising over 250 partner consultation responses and identify and explore opportunities for service and product improvement. You will investigate complex business problems and map "as-is" and "to-be" states, conducting rigorous gap analyses to ensure our future data solutions are suitable and align to strategic objectives.
To be successful you will need to understand and articulate complex processes and systems with a user‑focussed approach. You should champion business analysis methods, conduct research using best‑practice approaches to understand business requirements, and influence recommendations on the service improvements needed.
Qualifications & Experience
* Demonstrable ability to understand, analyse, articulate and provide options for solving complex problems and opportunities.
* Demonstrable ability to gather evidence and data, and apply analysis to produce solutions and recommendations. Comfortable manipulating data and quantifying findings; able to model costs and benefits, map existing processes or develop a business case based on robust assumptions and evidence.
* Demonstrable ability to effectively manage, influence and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders. Able to communicate clearly and regularly with stakeholders across all levels of seniority. Comfortable when consensus is not achieved and willing to challenge where needed.
Equal Opportunities
Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) is of strategic importance within the organisation and recognised as integral to all we do as a service.
Central to pursuing our EDI mission is building diverse and inclusive teams in which everyone has a sense of belonging. We welcome applications from people of colour, LGBTQ+ people and disabled people. We will offer an interview to disabled candidates who indicate their application should be considered under our Disability Confident Interview Commitment where they meet our selection criteria. We will provide reasonable adjustments as needed.
Working Conditions
We’re a flexible employer; this role may suit anyone who prefers a flexible arrangement to help work/life balance. Many colleagues work remotely. Preferably a blended approach between a local office (if near you) and home; we can discuss details during the interview. The role requires that the successful applicant be based in England or Wales. Citizens Advice does not sponsor work permits; applicants must already possess the right to work in the UK.
Application Process
To apply please submit an anonymous CV and cover letter not exceeding two pages, outlining how you meet the criteria above. Your application will be reviewed by a qualified committee, and suitable candidates will be contacted for interview.
