Application Deadline: 27 November 2025 Department: Work Based Learning Location: Graig Campus Compensation: £28,681 - £31,122 / year Description The WBL Employability and Liaison Officer will support the effective delivery of the Jobs Growth Wales (JGW) programme and wider Work Based Learning activities. The role will plan and deliver employability workshops, oversee learner online activity and work placements, and provide administrative support for learner inductions and digital compliance. The post holder will engage with employers to develop and vet placement opportunities, maintain an accurate database of vacancies, and collaborate with the Be Ambitious team to promote progression into Apprenticeships and employment. The role also includes supporting suspended learners to re-engage in work placements or alternative opportunities, contributing to the department’s marketing and communication activity, and promoting the Welsh language across all aspects of delivery. Key Responsibilities The WBL Employability and Liaison Officer will; Reporting to the Head of WBL on progress Plan and deliver workshop style sessions to JGW learners Oversee WEST and online activity sessions Assist Training Advisors with learner inductions Co-ordinate learner work placements, including vetting placements Assist with the completion of digital forms and create visits within the Maytas Hub diary Liaise with Be Ambitious team to share current WBL vacancies Create promotional brochures and case studies for marketing and communication Oversee all JGW work placements - Engage with current and prospective placements to establish work placement opportunities Create and manage database for all JGW placements and potential apprenticeship vacancies Engage and support with suspended WBL learners to start new placements, job roles or alternative employment Comply with and promote Welsh language standards Attend regular team meetings and other relevant college meetings as required and participate in the general business life of the college. Participate in the college’s appraisal scheme and undertake appropriate staff development activities. Support the functions of the WBL as and when required Carry out any other duties as directed by the Principal/Chief Executive commensurate with the grade of the post at the initial place of work or other locations within the College.
