Faculty
You will join a truly innovative School of Pharmacy, Optometry and Medical Sciences, with a suite of face-to-face and online postgraduate programmes, a fully integrated MPharm based on Team-Based Learning (TBL) and excellence in research.
What you will be doing:
The key objective of this postholder will be to contribute to our postgraduate programmes (including Independent Prescribing) which are aimed at registered pharmacists. You will also contribute to the MPharm programme. You will guide and support students through these programmes in order that they can develop their skills in professional and clinical practice, leadership and management, education and research domains of practice.
1. The postholder will primarily focus on learning, teaching and assessment, including module leadership for both postgraduate pharmacy and MPharm programmes
2. The postholder will also undertake research in a relevant area and support pharmacists to develop their research potential.
Qualifications/ experience:
3. MPharm degree or equivalent
4. Professional Registration with the UK General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
5. Advance HE Fellow (D2) or equivalent experience and commitment to obtaining this following appointment
6. Evidence of relevant research expertise
7. Experience of contributing to effective teaching on a programme or clinical practice including evaluation of personal teaching.
8. Experience of clinical practice characterised by a high degree of autonomy and complex decision making and of working within a range of multidisciplinary teams.
