Employer: Billion-pound Turnover Main Contractor – Data Centre & Industrial Build Specialist
We are working with a leading main contractor delivering high-profile projects across the data centre and industrial sectors. With a turnover exceeding £1bn and a proven track record of delivering large-scale schemes, they are now seeking a Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Project Manager to join their team on a flagship steel frame logistics centre in Derby.
The Role
As M&E Project Manager, you will take ownership of the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of both mechanical and electrical packages on this major scheme. Responsibilities include:
* Leading all M&E works from pre-construction through to completion and client handover
* Coordinating subcontractors and managing performance, contracts, and programmes
* Working closely with design, commercial, and construction teams to resolve technical issues
* Driving compliance with quality assurance, safety, and industry standards
* Managing reporting, budget control, and client interface to ensure successful delivery
About You
* Strong background in M&E project management within industrial, logistics, or data centre projects
* Proven track record of delivering large-scale schemes with significant M&E packages
* Commercially astute with the ability to manage budgets, contracts, and subcontractor performance
* Excellent technical knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems
* Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
