Description / Details of the Role:
My child is a 7-year-old boy who is non-verbal and autistic. He is a very happy little boy who enjoys going to the park, playing with cars, watching moving objects (like cars down a track), and enjoys watching Thomas the Tank Engine. He loves being outdoors, tickles, and cuddles.
I am looking for someone to assist my child in accessing community activities, SEN activities, and clubs. The role involves providing support and assistance to help my child achieve his full potential, including personal care.
Key main tasks: (Include any specialised training/knowledge if required)
* Toileting - in nappies
* Using symbols to communicate what he is doing and what he will do next, including symbol exchange for desired items like food
* Patience and high level of supervision due to safety concerns
* Monitoring for danger, preventing harm, and managing risks such as choking from small objects
Hourly rate of pay:
* If over age 21: £12.21
* If under age 21: £10.00
Hours available:
* Term Time: 3 hours per week
* School Holidays: 6 hours per week
An enhanced DBS check for working with children will be arranged if needed. Access to a car, a clean driving license, and business car insurance are required.
