We're recruiting for an experienced Design Manager to join a growing team delivering DfE and education projects across the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping high-quality learning environments and working on projects that genuinely make a difference.

The Role
As Design Manager, you'll be responsible for leading and coordinating the design process from pre-construction through to delivery, ensuring compliance with DfE standards and driving design quality, buildability, and value.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing the full design process on DfE / education projects
Coordinating consultants, stakeholders, and internal teams
Ensuring designs meet DfE guidelines, technical standards, and programme requirements
Reviewing design information for buildability, cost, and risk
Supporting tender and pre-construction activities
Acting as a key point of contact between design and delivery teams
About You
To be considered, you must have:
Proven experience working on DfE or education projects
Background in either architecture or main contracting
Strong understanding of design management processes
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable (but not essential):
Experience working on new build or refurbishment education schemes
Knowledge of MMC or modern construction methods
Relevant professional qualifications
