The Respiratory Medicine Department has an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Admin Manager to join the team. The successful candidate will have responsibility for managing an efficient, effective and comprehensive secretarial team across Respiratory Medicine, supporting clinical and managerial staff. The post holder will support the Operational Manager in the management of cancer and sleep pathways, and lead a large secretarial, reception and cancer team.


Responsibilities

* Provide support and leadership to the Deputy Admin Manager, ensuring HR policies are followed and key targets are met.
* Represent the department when required and roll out new initiatives and ways of working.
* Line manage the administrative staff and ensure smooth running and development of the directorate’s administration functions.
* Operate as part of a multi-disciplinary team, managing administrative, clerical and secretarial needs and monitoring workloads to meet activity targets.
* Ensure patient management is in line with the patient access policy.
* Manage various projects from inception to implementation.
* Provide a full range of management activity for staff, including recruitment, training, rosters and personal development plans.
* Provide essential support to a number of RTT, cancer and diagnostic target related areas.
* Investigate and respond to complaints within the areas of responsibility and update the process accordingly.
