About the Role:
* Deliver engaging and varied Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering music theory, history, composition, and performance.
* Develop and implement stimulating lesson plans that cater to a range of musical interests and abilities, incorporating both traditional and contemporary approaches.
* Assess student progress through practical performances, compositions, written work, and aural tests, providing constructive feedback to support their musical development.
* Contribute to the vibrant extracurricular musical life of the school, including leading or assisting with school ensembles, choirs, and instrumental tuition.
Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Music.
* A strong knowledge of music theory, history, and performance practices across a range of genres.
* Proficiency in playing at least one musical instrument to a high standard.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students of all musical abilities.
* A passion for music and the ability to foster a lifelong appreciation for the subject.
