Our client, a leading Tier 1 supplier of assembled automotive products, is currently hiring a Manufacturing Project Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all project elements including engineering design, quality planning, installation, commissioning and final buy-off phases as well as ensuring the project remains within budget in order to meet the requirements of the customer's needs. The Manufacturing Project Engineer will: * Coordinate all project phases—including planning, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and final buy-off, while ensuring delivery within budget and against project timelines and KPIs. * Collaborate closely with customers, attending meetings and providing progress updates in line with APQP requirements. * Manage both customer and internal APQP activities and participate in PPAP processes. * Translate customer specifications into departmental actions or sub-supplier orders, managing resources and tracking progress throughout the project. * Analyse and assess changes in customer or internal requirements, including feasibility studies and cost impacts. * Identify potential project risks and implement corrective actions, including root cause analysis and problem resolution. The Manufacturing Project Engineer will have: * Proficiency in MS Office and Microsoft Project, with a good understanding of CATIA. * Strong knowledge of APQP, FMEA, DFMEA/PFMEA, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing principles. * Hands-on experience with APQP processes in an automotive or engineering environment. * Engineering qualification - degree or completed apprenticeship, ideally with industry experience or a placement year. * Background in manufacturing, preferably within the automotive or advanced engineering sectors. * Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple project elements and stakeholders.
