About the Role
Due to continued growth and development, we are looking for customer-focused people to join us in our Utility Division, working on our Thames Water contract service to deliver effective solutions to wastewater network and drainage problems.
Responsibilities
* Travel to residential sites via HGV in a two-person team, powering a high-pressure water jet for restoration.
* Clean, clear, and maintain drainage systems.
* Record each job report correctly on the specialist equipment provided.
* Run diagnostics and repairs on drains.
* Deliver good customer service.
* Maintain good health and safety practice while carrying out works.
* Ensure vehicle stock is full and replenished.
* Comply with health and safety responsibilities, including PPE and safe site set up, protecting Lanes Group employees, the public, and other road users.
* Utilise VISTEC and Salesforce platforms.
* Liaise with the client regarding progress and any updates.
* Work unsupervised in all weather conditions utilising correct PPE, lone worker system, etc.
* Dynamically risk assess site access and working conditions depending on specific circumstances upon arrival.
* Provide support to your colleagues.
* Conduct thorough inspections of tools, equipment, and plant before and after use.
* Report any defects or malfunctions in regards to training.
* Carry out risk assessments and have a mature approach to risk perception.
* Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and your responsibility towards them.
* Any other reasonable ad-hoc duties requested by management.
What is essential
The ability to work safely to quickly diagnose and deliver practical and efficient solutions to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
About You
The ideal candidate will be hard working, respectful, and comply with health and safety standards. Experience in the use of high pressure jetting equipment is useful but not essential. Other drainage qualifications (e.g., NRSWA and Confined Spaces) are an advantage.
