We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to join a welcoming and supportive setting in Choppington, Northumberland. This long-term temporary opportunity involves working with both primary and secondary-aged students with a range of physical disabilities and severe learning difficulties.
The Role:
* Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex needs.
* Assist in promoting independence, self-esteem, and confidence in students.
* Support students in both academic and personal development.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals to ensure every child reaches their full potential.
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
* Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (Special Educational Needs).
* A calm, patient, and flexible approach to working with students with varying needs.
* Experience in a specialist setting (preferred but not essential).
* A genuine interest in inclusive education and a desire to make a difference.
Requirements:
* Hold a valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service for Child and Adult Workforce, or be willing to apply and cover the cost.
* Available to work Monday to Friday, during school hours (part-time applicants will also be considered).
* Ability to commit to a long-term placement.
