 Permit Coordination:
 1. Issue, review, and manage permits for various work activities (e.g., excavation, confined space entry, hot work).
 2. Maintain registers for gas testing and other safety-critical tasks.
Risk Assessment & Safety Oversight:
 3. Conduct or review risk assessments before permit issuance.
 4. Inspect work areas to ensure compliance with safety protocols and permit conditions.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
 5. Liaise with contractors, project managers, and safety officers to align on permit requirements.
 6. Coordinate with statutory undertakers and local authorities for street works or environmental permits.
Compliance & Accreditation Support:
 7. Assist in maintaining ISO (Environmental Management) and ISO (Occupational Health & Safety) certifications.
 8. Ensure legal standards are met and continuously improved upon.
Documentation & Reporting:
 9. Ensure timely completion and archiving of permit documentation post-project.
 10. Provide reports and updates to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) teams and management.
Main Duties
Conduct Risk Assessments:
 11. Evaluate potential hazards related to the work activity.
 12. Ensure appropriate control measures are in place before issuing permits.
 Verify Safety Precautions:
 13. Confirm that isolation procedures, gas testing, and other safety checks are completed.
 14. Ensure that all necessary PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is available and used correctly.
 Issue and Authorize Permits:
 15. Prepare and authorize permits for high-risk tasks such as hot work, confined space entry, electrical work, and excavation.
 16. Clearly define the scope, duration, and conditions of the work.
 Coordinate with Stakeholders:
 17. Communicate with supervisors, contractors, and safety officers to align on permit requirements.
 18. Ensure that all involved personnel understand the risks and precautions.
 Monitor and Audit Work Activities:
 19. Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with permit conditions.
 20. Revoke or suspend permits if unsafe conditions arise.
 Maintain Documentation:
 21. Keep accurate records of issued permits, risk assessments, and safety checks.
 22. Archive completed permits for future reference and audits.
 Close Out Permits:
 23. Ensure that work is completed safely and all conditions are met before closing the permit.
 24. Confirm that the worksite is restored to a safe condition
What we are looking for
Education:
 25. Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent.
 26. Preferred: NEBOSH, IOSH, or other HSE-related certifications.
Technical Understanding:
 27. Familiarity with Permit-to-Work systems and safety protocols.
 28. Knowledge of ISO and other relevant safety standards.
Legal Awareness:
 29. Understanding of local and international health and safety regulations.

Industry Background:
