Role purpose
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will lead the mechanical design and detailing of high‑precision new parts, sub‑assemblies, and customer solutions for our Imaging & Analysis products.
Key responsibilities and qualifications
* BSc/BEng in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) or iMechE/ IEng accredited.
* At least 5 years of product development experience.
* Demonstrable experience in precision mechanisms, tolerance analysis, long‑term stability (vibration, thermal effects).
* Experience with regulatory approval (EMC, MD, Safety, LVD) and DfX implementation.
* Prototype build and assessment, design documentation with assembly instructions and revision control.
* Developing budgets and cost estimates.
