Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operating heavy equipment, particularly excavators, in various construction environments. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work effectively on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently.
Duties
* Operate excavators and other heavy equipment, including dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and water trucks, to perform various tasks on construction sites.
* Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
* Perform excavation tasks for foundations, trenches, and site grading while adhering to project specifications.
* Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate work activities and maintain workflow.
* Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery to minimize risks on the job site.
* Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance checks and reporting any mechanical issues.
* Assist in horizontal drilling operations as required for specific projects.
* Operate dump trucks and tankers when necessary for transporting materials.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with excavators.
* CPCS or NPORS card required.
* Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain equipment effectively.
* Experience with commercial driving is preferred; valid driver's license required.
* Familiarity with various types of heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and water trucks.
* Previous construction site experience is essential to understand the dynamics of working in a team environment.
* Knowledge of paving techniques is a plus.
* Ability to work in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks as needed.
