Job overview


Applications are invited for the post of Senior Training Fellow Doctor Child Health. This is an opportunity to gain paediatric/neonatal experience in a busy Unit at the Royal Stoke University Hospital. The post holder will gain good experience in general paediatrics working in the Children's Assessment Unit (CAU), wards and children's outpatient clinics and the Neonatal unit. We are part of the Child Health Directorate, which is one of the largest in the country, with many paediatric sub specialties receiving tertiary care referrals including paediatric gastroenterology services, respiratory, haematology-oncology, diabetes and endocrinology, rheumatology, epilepsy and neurology, community paediatrics, paediatric intensive care.



Main duties of the job


Senior Training Fellow Child Health. The post holder will gain good experience in general paediatrics working in the Children's Assessment Unit (CAU), wards and children's outpatient clinics and the Neonatal unit.

University Hospitals of North Midlands has two sites: Royal Stoke University Hospital, located in Stoke-on-Trent, and County Hospital, located in Stafford. From these hospitals we provide a full range of general acute hospital services for people living in and around Staffordshire and beyond. Our specialised services include cancer diagnosis and treatment, cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, renal and dialysis services, neonatal intensive care and paediatric intensive care. We are recognised for our particular expertise in trauma, respiratory conditions, spinal surgery, upper gastro-intestinal surgery, complex orthopaedic surgery, laparoscopic surgery and the management of liver conditions.
