Electrician / Electrical Installation Assessor (Full Training)
Location: Cambridge – covering Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas (Hybrid / Field Based)
Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 plus full training, qualifications, excellent pension, 42 days holiday, mileage, career progression, and outstanding benefits.
We’re looking for an experienced electrician or electrical installation professional to transition into a rewarding training role, shaping the next generation of skilled electricians.
Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of Electrical Installation apprentices.
* Deliver coaching, workplace assessments, and progress reviews.
* Support apprentices in developing knowledge, skills and behaviours aligned to apprenticeship standards.
* Prepare learners for successful End Point Assessment (EPA).
* Work in a hybrid environment: workplace visits and home‑based administration.
Qualifications
* Level 3 qualification (or above) in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
* Strong hands‑on industry experience within Electrical Installations.
* Previous assessing, mentoring or teaching experience desirable but not essential.
* Assessor / IQA qualification advantageous.
* Good understanding of Apprenticeship Standards and EPA desirable.
* Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
* Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel locally.
