Design Engineer
A national house builder have a requirement for a Design Engineer to join their Technical team overseeing Civils Design packages and technical approvals for new build developments initially on a 12 month fixed term contract basis.
Design Engineer role
Reporting to the Technical Director, you will be working within our Engineering Team and be responsible for undertaking the design of infrastructure and groundwork's packages for residential developments.
Duties to include:
1. Procure service records and enquiries for new developments,
2. Undertake In-House Road and Sewer designs for new estate roads and Infrastructure.
3. Prepare Groundwork pack designs for tender and construction issue.
4. Undertake Drainage, Foundation and Levels appraisals to support land bids.
5. Secure S38, S104, S185 & S278 legal agreements to suit the development programme.
6. Obtain designs for foundations and where necessary have input into securing structural
7. designs for superstructure components
8. Maintain a continuous process of evaluation of any Consultant's designs to ensure that
9. proposals adhere to best practice in value Engineering
10. Liaise with other Technical Team members and others as necessary to seek the discharge of
11. building regulations and planning conditions.
