Experienced SEND Teaching Assistant – Sunderland Primary Setting | Ages 4–11 | Full-Time | September Start We’re looking for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming, community-focused primary school in Sunderland this September. Supporting pupils aged 4–11, the team works hard to create a safe, nurturing environment where every child is valued and encouraged to reach their potential. Your role will include: Providing targeted support for pupils with special educational needs, including learning, communication, and emotional regulation Delivering one-to-one and small group interventions Assisting classroom teachers with inclusive learning strategies Helping pupils build confidence, independence, and positive relationships We’re looking for someone who: Has strong experience working with SEND in a primary setting Brings a calm, patient approach and genuine passion for making a difference Is confident supporting pupils with a range of needs, including SEMH and communication difficulties Can commit to a full-time role from September Thrive trained?
