Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Electrician to work across a range of commercial properties throughout Bristol. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in environments such as offices, retail units, schools, and industrial facilities. This is a mobile role requiring travel between sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial buildings
* Carry out electrical testing, inspection, and fault-finding
* Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations (e.g., BS 7671 Wiring Regulations)
* Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
* Install lighting systems, power distribution units, fire alarms, and data cabling
* Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks
* Diagnose electrical faults and implement effective solutions
* Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
* Liaise with site managers, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery
* Adhere to all health & safety regulations and company policies
Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
* Proven experience working as an electrician in commercial environments
* ECS/CSCS card (preferred or required depending on employer)
* Strong knowledge xsngvjr of electrical systems, tools, and safety procedures
* Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and plans
* Full UK driving licence (essential due to travel between sites)
