The Role As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for contributing to the design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects from concept through to completion. You'll utilise your technical knowledge and creative problem-solving skills to produce high-quality engineering designs, working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team. Key responsibilities include: Producing detailed designs and calculations for highways, drainage, and site infrastructure projects. Preparing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy Reports. Developing design drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage (or InfoDrainage), and Vehicle Tracking. Delivering design packages and technical documentation for small to medium-sized projects. Ensuring compliance with relevant design standards, planning policy, and local authority requirements. Collaborating with colleagues across disciplines to deliver coordinated, innovative, and practical design solutions. Providing input to due diligence, feasibility, and pre-development engineering work. Managing workloads to meet project deadlines and maintain quality standards. About You We're looking for a capable and motivated engineer with a passion for civil design and a desire to grow professionally within a supportive environment. Requirements: Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Ideally 3-6 years' experience in a civil infrastructure design consultancy. Working towards Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status. Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and drainage design software (MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage). Knowledge of BIM workflows and multidisciplinary coordination. Experience preparing and reviewing technical drawings, calculations, and reports. Familiarity with RIBA work stages or Eurocodes (advantageous). Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. A proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented approach to design.
