3. The standard hours for this role will be 9.30am – 5.30 pm, but some flexibility may be required.
Billing Duties:
4. Coordinating billing activities on large high profile disputes, ensuring bills are prepared accurately and on time
5. Using specialist software to ensure narrative and matter code conformance and assisting with cost/budget management
6. Liaising with lawyers and Business Finance where appropriate
7. Assisting with the preparation of weekly client reporting
8. Matter Plan and budget maintenance
9. Supporting the partners, fee earners and LPMs with billing queries
10. Helping to implement and manage technological improvements to the current system
11. Assisting with invoice status updates on SharePoint
Paralegal Duties
12. Assisting with document management using WorkSite, HighQ and SharePoint
13. Conducting research, using internet and other research tools
14. Bundling
15. Proofreading
16. Document management
17. Any other duties as required
Qualifications, skills and experience:
18. Excellent attention to detail
19. Strong IT skills including a good working knowledge of Microsoft programs, in particular excel
20. Familiarity with document management systems desirable
21. Previous law firm experience or experience working on large commercial disputes desirable
22. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
23. Role would suit a paralegal looking to gain more experience or with an interest in legal operations or legal project management
