A forward-thinking and well-established accountancy practice in Kent is seeking an Audit Partner to join its senior leadership team. This is a hands‑on, high-impact role, offering the opportunity to take immediate ownership of an existing audit portfolio primarily made up of owner‑managed businesses and SMEs. The position is ideal for an experienced Audit Director or Partner looking to make an immediate difference, drive client growth, and play a key role in shaping the firm's future.
Key Responsibilities
* Take responsibility for an existing audit portfolio, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery and exceptional client service.
* Build and maintain strong, long‑term client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser.
* Identify opportunities to grow audit work and support business development initiatives.
* Provide technical oversight, ensuring compliance with UK auditing standards and internal quality procedures.
* Lead and develop the audit team, fostering talent and supporting succession planning.
Qualifications/Experience Required
* RI status with a recognised UK professional body (e.g. ICAEW or ACCA) with experience at Director or Partner level.
* Extensive audit expertise, particularly with owner‑managed businesses and SMEs.
* Proven record in business development, client management, and delivering results.
* Leadership experience, including mentoring and developing teams.
* Commercially minded, proactive, and collaborative, with the drive to influence the firm's growth.
