Job Title: General Agricultural Engineer

Overview:
A long-established agricultural operation in East Anglia is looking for a hands-on Agricultural Engineer to support the servicing, repair, and fabrication of a wide range of machinery and equipment used across mixed-use farms and energy sites. This is a varied and practical role suited to someone confident with welding and mechanical repairs in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
* Machinery Servicing & Maintenance: Carry out scheduled maintenance and routine servicing of farm vehicles, ATVs, and tracked equipment to ensure operational reliability.
* Welding & Fabrication: Perform welding tasks on-site and in the workshop, including repairs and modifications to buckets, scoops, tines, and chassis components.
* Loader and Vehicle Rebuilds: Strip down, rebuild, and recommission loaders and other plant machinery to a high standard.
* On-Farm Engineering Support: Provide assistance with general site maintenance, seasonal projects, and urgent repairs across multiple farming locations.
* Generator Maintenance: Undertake servicing and minor fault finding on generator units powering remote or off-grid operations.
* Environmental Site Support: Work alongside the renewables team to maintain and adapt equipment used on anaerobic digestion and other environmental infrastructure sites.
Essential Requirements:
* Practical experience in agricultural or plant engineering.
* Strong mechanical diagnostic and repair skills.
* Confident welder, with experience in MIG or arc welding preferred.
* Flexible, self-motivated, and comfortable responding to emergency repairs.
* Full UK driving licence.
