Adult Safeguarding – Urban Team

Pay rate: £34 per hour
Are you an experienced and passionate Qualified Social Worker looking for career progression? Pertemps Professional Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Qualified Social Worker to join the Adult Safeguarding - Urban Team based in the North West. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Adults Services, preferably within Safeguarding. The successful candidate must be able to access the local authority 2-3 days per week and be registered with Social Work England.
Our client is looking for Qualified Adult Social Workers to join the Safeguarding Team. All candidates must have previous experience in adult social care and a good understanding of relevant legislation such as the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Human Rights Act, and Mental Health Act. The Single Assessment Process provides a person-centred health and social care framework, including entry into the system, holistic assessment, care planning, care delivery, and review.
Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, you will support the delivery of person-centred, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions about the most appropriate interventions. With excellent communication skills, you’ll establish and maintain relationships with service users and other agencies to ensure services meet identified needs.

Ideal candidate will be:
* Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
* SW, CSS, DipSW, or Social Work Degree; creative, flexible, and forward-thinking
* Experience working in a Social Services Directorate or other statutory or voluntary agency
* Committed to continuous improvement and achieving the best outcomes
* Excellent mediation and negotiation skills
* Experience working with diverse client groups
* Skilled at building meaningful relationships with children and families
* Dedicated to providing high-quality service
* Experience working in multi-disciplinary, interagency settings
* Knowledge of relevant legislation
* 4+ years qualified experience
In this role, you will:
* Conduct full assessments of risks, protection, and social care needs
* Manage a caseload
* Utilize specialist communication skills to achieve outcomes
* Develop individual care plans promoting dignity and empowerment
* Provide advice and support to unqualified staff and students
