Assistant Manager Bordelaise Restaurant ( Surbiton )
We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in the successful day-to-day running of our Bordelaise restaurant. This role is key to delivering an outstanding guest experience while maintaining high standards of service, food, and wine that reflect the traditions of Bordeaux.
Key responsibilities include supervising front-of-house operations, leading and motivating the team during service, and ensuring a warm, professional atmosphere at all times. You will assist with staff training, rotas, and performance management, while helping to build a knowledgeable team with a strong understanding of Bordelaise cuisine and wines. The role also involves managing reservations, handling guest feedback, and resolving any issues efficiently and professionally.
You will support stock control, ordering, and cost management, as well as ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards. A strong attention to detail, leadership presence on the floor, and a passion for hospitality are essential. Previous supervisory experience in a quality restaurant and an interest in French cuisine and wine are highly desirable.
