Health & Safety Manager
Location: East Harling
Salary: £40, - £45,
I'm partnering with a well-established business that is creating a new Health & Safety Manager role, offering an excellent opportunity for a Health & Safety Advisor who is ready to step up into a management position.
This is a hands-on, fully onsite role where you'll have the chance to put your own stamp on the H&S function, shape processes, and grow with the business. Some travel will be required from time to time across East Anglia and Heathrow, however this is very infrequent.
The Role
As the Health & Safety Manager, you'll become the main point of contact for all health and safety matters on site. You'll work closely with operational teams, gaining exposure to the full scope of H&S management while being supported to develop your leadership capability.
This role suits someone who enjoys being visible on site, improving standards, and building strong working relationships.
Key Responsibilities
1. Managing and improving onsite Health & Safety policies and procedures
2. Carrying out risk assessments, audits, and site inspections
3. Supporting and leading accident and incident investigations
4. Maintaining H&S documentation including RAMS, COSHH, and accident records
5. Delivering toolbox talks, inductions, and safety training
6. Working with managers and supervisors to embed a positive safety culture
7. Supporting compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation
About You
8. Experience in a Health & Safety Advisor, Coordinator, or similar role
9. Ready to step up into a management position and take ownership
10. NEBOSH Certification
11. Solid understanding of UK H&S legislation and best practice
12. Confident communicator who can build relationships and influence others
13. Proactive, organised, and comfortable being hands-on on site
14. Experience within Logistics or construction is advantageous
