SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: North‑West Bristol
Pay: £92–£105 per day
Hours: Monday–Friday, term time only
Start: September (with the possibility of immediate work)
We are working with a friendly and supportive primary school in the north‑west Bristol area who are looking to appoint a caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant.
This is a school-based role supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. The position may involve 1:1 or small-group support, working closely with pupils across the school day.
The role may include:
* Providing 1:1 or small‑group support for pupils with SEN, which may include
SEMH, learning difficulties, ADHD, autism, and physical disabilities
* Supporting children to access learning and engage positively in the classroom
* Helping with emotional regulation, confidence, and social development
* Assisting with classroom routines and activities
* Working collaboratively with class teachers and the SEN team
The ideal candidate:
* Patient, empathetic, and resilient
* Has experience working with children or young people (required)
* School-based experience is not essential
* Experience may come from care work, youth work, church or community groups, holiday camps, or personal experience supporting a family member
* Passionate about supporting children with additional needs
* Able to commit to full-time, term-time hours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
