Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Responsible to: Head of Logistics
Job Purpose
To ensure the smooth and efficient day to day running of the operational areas within the Warehouse, this includes the supervision of all Warehouse Operatives and temporary staff to ensure that they are all productive, accurate and safe during their hours of work. Warehouse Supervisors should have the ability to communicate and implement change as required by the Business as well as providing leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practice and safety conscious behaviour.
Hours/Salary
Typically Monday to Friday.
08:30 – 17:30
£28,000 - £29,500 dependent on experience.

Duties and responsibilities to include (but not restricted to) the following:
· Train and monitor staff in standard operating procedures (SOP) and safe work practices including the induction of new employees
· Continuously monitor the performance and activities of the Warehouse Operatives through the use of KPI's with a primary focus on productivity and cost control
· To carry out all reasonable requests given by The House of Baukjen management team
· Daily and weekly consumables audit including replenishment as and when required by the business
· Ensure that all stock within the warehouse is in correct location and is available for sale when applicable.
· Liaise with customer service to answer and resolve their queries, reporting of warehouse queries to customer service, follow up communication to ensure that all outstanding queries are either resolved in a reasonable timescale or flagged to management.
· Make sure that returns are processed in a timely fashion, RTS's are communicated to customer service and any outstanding actions are chased and flagged as required.
· Report any system/hardware issues to our external support providers and flag to management if required. Track the resolutions to ensure swift response.
· Ensure that customer orders are processed in a timely fashion.
· Ensure stock integrity through cycle counts and regular walks through locations.
· Maintain site standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness at all times.
· Overall security of the site as well as key holder and calls out as required
· Official First Aider for the Warehouse
· Sign off of all Temporary staff timesheets.
· Any other ad hoc duties as and when required by the needs of the business
· Facilitate the smooth running of the Wholesale business
· Ensuring Recycling takes place as and when necessary
· First point of contact for any Charitable collections
· Effectively manage the Goods In process including communication with head office regarding deliveries.
· Maintain stock levels for all consumables and ensure that they are completed in a timely fashion
· Ensure all packaging/catalogues is kept up a sustainable level and order as and when necessary
· First point of contact for any systems issues including Mintsoft, Ziptech and MetaPack.
· Experience with Mintsoft preferable but not essential.
