About the role:
We are currently seeking an Electrical Training Coordinator to join our Apprenticeships department at The Bedford College group.
As a Training Coordinator, you will:
* Support apprentices in the workplace, helping them develop relevant skills, knowledge, and competencies for successful apprenticeship completion.
* Track apprentice progress through each stage of their programme using the OneFile e-portfolio system.
* Maintain effective relationships with employers and tutors to communicate about apprentice performance and progress.
* Perform teaching and case load duties.
* Ensure learners are inducted, trained, assessed, and supported during their learning program.
* Work with employers and apprentices to identify suitable pathway options.
* Conduct skills scans to establish starting points at sign-up.
* Assess apprentices via BKSB, meet entry requirements, and enroll them in mandatory components.
* Identify additional learning needs and refer appropriately, monitoring support effectiveness.
* Lead induction for apprentices within the first 6 weeks.
* Carry out workplace Health and Safety assessments if relevant.
* Create tailored training and learning plans with employers.
* Support apprentices through regular coaching, monitoring, assessment, and reviews every 10-12 weeks.
* Liaise with employers for assessment visits and provide feedback.
* Plan and evidence 20% off-the-job training.
* Support development of maths and English skills relevant to the workplace.
* Provide qualitative feedback on assessments.
* Review progress and set SMART targets.
* Maintain records for audit purposes.
* Complete pre-enrolment checks including Skills Scans and Assessments.
About you:
* Hold a qualification at Level 3 or above in a relevant vocational subject.
* Have GCSEs in English and Mathematics at grades A-C or equivalent.
* Possess or be willing to work towards TAQA Level 3 and Level 4 qualifications.
* Hold or be willing to attain a Level 3 Award in Education and Training.
* Experience in the relevant vocational industry and training/assessing NVQ qualifications.
* Proficient in IT software and e-portfolio systems.
* Ability to deliver sector-relevant training and provide qualitative feedback.

* Hold a valid driving license and have access to a car.
