Are you a veterinary surgeon with a passion for delivering gold-standard care and building lasting relationships with clients? At Mill House, we take pride in providing exceptional service to our loyal client base, and we’re looking for a dedicated vet to join our friendly and supportive team.

Join Our Award-Winning Team at Mill House Veterinary Surgery & Hospital

We’re a thriving small animal, first-opinion and referral hospital based in King’s Lynn, proudly awarded RCVS Outstanding in five categories and recognised as a Gold Standard Cat Friendly Clinic, Silver Rabbit Friendly Practice, and two-time Practice of the Year winner. Our success comes from a passionate, dedicated team and we’re excited to welcome another Veterinary Surgeon into the fold.

We’re a practice that genuinely believes in doing things the right way, for our clients, our patients, and our people. If you’re looking for a team that values your input, supports your growth, and loves a good laugh between consults, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

Why Mill House?

Our caseload is varied, engaging, and perfect for developing your clinical skills. From routine consults and soft tissue surgery to laparoscopic procedures, complex orthopaedics, TPLOs, and even exotic care (yes, we once had a giant tortoise!), no two days are the same. Your week will be split between consults and surgery, giving you the chance to build strong client relationships while developing your surgical confidence.

We’re proud to offer top-tier equipment, including video endoscopy, laparoscopy, harmonic scalpel, digital dental X-ray, colour flow Doppler, ventilator, slit lamp, CT Scanner, multiple ultrasound machines and more. Our modern practice includes a dedicated ICU, spacious separate wards for cats, dogs, and exotics, five consult rooms, nurse consult areas, and even a comfy staff room and meeting spaces for those much-needed moments of calm.

As a referral hospital, we manage our own complex cases and work closely with our Vets Now out-of-hours team. Whether your interests lie in medicine, surgery, imaging, or dentistry, you’ll find the opportunity to grow your skills and follow your passions right here.

Be Part of a Truly Collaborative Team

You’ll be joining a warm, talented, and close-knit team of vets, RVNs, student nurses, ACAs, and an experienced support staff. Our veterinary team includes multiple certificate holders across areas such as ophthalmology, cardiology, ECC, internal medicine, and imaging, and we regularly collaborate to offer the highest standard of care. With a genuinely supportive and inclusive culture, we make time to learn from one another and celebrate each other’s successes.

We’re passionate about helping you grow, too. If you’re considering a certificate we’re able to provide the time, funding, and mentorship to make it happen.

We’re looking for a vet with a client-focused mindset and a real enthusiasm for small animal practice. You’ll ideally be an experienced vet, a certificate or keen interest in dentistry would be a bonus, but it’s certainly not essential.
